Presentation on how the web has evolved into a place where information, from social media to feeds, is being created, propagated, and shared, in real-time.
What is the real-time web?
The real-time web is a set of push and pull technologies where content is provided to the world at large, in almost real-time, from social networks to websites using feeds. The task is to create, capture, and propogate this constant stream of information for your own needs.
The real-time web is a set of technologies and practices which enable users to receive information as soon as it is published by its authors, rather than requiring that they or their software check a source periodically for updates.
